It's been years in the planning but yesterday I finally photographed Heather as I'd seen her in my mind's eye for oh so very long. I'd always seen her high on a mountain top silhoutted against a blue sky with nothing but a saffron silk scarf billowing around her. We mixed things up a little bit though and went out to the Salt Flats to shoot and used a red silk scarf instead of a yellow one. The end result was the same one however - more fabulous beauty than one could ever hope for.
Heather is a belly dancer so we started out with her in full costume. Joe played the drums quietly to one side while Heather danced. She paused for a moment to pose for the camera and then continued on after that minus a very warm costume. The image that follows after the jump is nude so please proceed according to your own desires and circumstances. As with all of the images on my blog these can be clicked to see them full-size.
This is the Heather that I saw in my mind's eye when I saw the very first pictures of her online at least four or five years ago. When I finally met her in person it was instant. I knew, as I usually do, that she was someone that I could make magic with. (You might recall that I performed Heather & Joe's wedding ceremony up at Sundance almost two years ago.) There are pictures of her and Joe together from this shoot on the Salt Flats and as soon as I have time to work on them I'll share them here with you. I grabbed these three in a hurry but more will follow.
