There's a really wonderful article over on Salon.com about Jay and Brian's wedding and how Jay's devoutly mormon father and mother came to their wedding and gave them their blessing. The article, written by Jeanne Carstensen is so worth a read, so heart-warming and inspiring. The article is here.

I'm glad to see there was a happy ending to Jay and Brian's wedding. I hope that he and the other 12,000 people who got married will still have valid marriages on next Wednesday. I'm doing my part to make Prop. 8 go down in flames by voting No on 8.

Yippee for ally Paula!
There is much debate about what will happen to those gay couples who were married legally these past few months. If Prop 8 passes there is going to be a legal mess unlike anything California has ever seen. You can't go back and strip something away from people that was given to them legally. By the same token, if those marriages stand the state will be sued thousands of times to continue recognizing that which it legally gave.
I really hope that Prop 8 goes down in flames.

Good for your dad. Love illuminates the mind, doesn't it?
